Make a List and Check It Twice
ages 4-6
Supplies
Paper and Pen
Activity Detail
Whether your child is preparing for kindergarten or just starting to write, it is often hard to get them to practice their writing skills. One way to make the practice less tedious is to come up with a game that will allow your child to think that he or she is writing with a purpose. Next time you need to go to the store, let your child write part of the list. You can spell 5 items or more, and your child can write them down. Then when you get to the store, allow your child to help find the items and mark them off the list. They'll never know that they were learning the whole time.
