Tissue Paper Fish
ages 3-6
Supplies
Tissue paper, construction paper, glue
Activity Detail
Using bright construction paper of your child?s choice, draw the outline of a fish's body (but not the tail and fins). Then make an eye with either a Sharpie or construction paper. Next, help your child add color to the body of the fish by adding various scraps of construction paper. Each body will be unique. Your child can also add a fin on top with a different color construction paper. Lastly add a tail with long strips of tissue paper attached with either glue or a stapler. This activity is especially fun after reading The Rainbow Fish.

I like the idea of coordinating an art project with one of your child's favorite books!
