Chalk, dice, foam block
Chalk a hopscotch board on the ground but make it larger than the normal 10 squares based on how high your child can count. Take a foam block and write either F or B on each side of the block. You will also need to use dice or make dice out of more foam blocks to determine how many blocks your child will hop. To start the game, each child should roll the F/B block to determine whether he has to move forward or backward and the dice to determine the number of spaces. With very young children, this game works best with one die. For older kids, it's fun to use two or three dice to incorporate addition and subtraction. Physical activity and early math skills!
