Rolling Eggs

ages 3-6

Chalk and hard boiled eggs

Activity Detail

With chalk, mark on a sidewalk or other large concrete space 4 parallel lines that are 8 or 10 feet long and 4 to 5 inches apart. This will create three narrow rows. At the end of each row make a circle, numbering the middle circle10 and the circle on the outer two rows with a 5. The middle space of the middle row should be marked with a 3, and the middle space of the other two rows should be marked with a 1. The object of the game is to have each child roll five hard-boiled eggs, one at a time, down the middle row to the circle at the end. If the egg goes into the middle circle, it counts 10, but if it stops anywhere else, the number closest to the eggs is the number of points earned. The child scoring the most points wins the game!

This was complicated to understand. Wish there was a picture of the end result for better visualization. I probably won't try it...
