Shamrock, Shamrock, Clover

ages 3-6

Supplies

Plastic gold coin pieces, shamrock stickers, small prizes, a large purchased or painted rainbow.

Activity Detail

This game is played like Duck, Duck, Goose, but uses the words Shamrock and Clover instead. Once a player is tagged, he or she goes to sit at the end of the rainbow to wait for the pot of gold. After everyone has been tagged, each child can pick a coin (candy or plastic) out of a black pot (found in party supply or craft stores) as their reward. You may designate one coin as a special one with a clover sticker, and that child can begin the next game or choose a new one to play! Coins can be redeemed for prizes at the end of the party.

Cute idea for a seasonal game of Duck, Duck, Goose and then the kids will get it that there is a difference between a shamrock and a clover !
