Shooting Stars
ages 1-6
Supplies
Glow-in-the-dark stars, planets, etc.(or cardboard or die cut stars), large popsicle sticks, curling ribbon or streamers, celestial music optional.
Activity Detail
This is a fun nighttime indoor or outdoor activity. Purchase a set of glow-in-the-dark stars, usually used for ceiling or wall decoration. Glue two stars, comets or planets back-to-back with a large popsicle stick in between. You can add some curling ribbon or streamers in between before you glue, if you'd like. "Charge" those stars up by leaving them near a light source for several minutes and then turn off the lights or go outside for your own special light show! You can even add some celestial music to add to the drama. If you don't have glow-in-the-dark stars, you can use cardboard or die-cut stars from your local craft store and decorate with markers and glitter.
