Dinosaur Sock Puppets
ages 3-6
Supplies
Old sock, stuffing, cardboard, felt
Activity Detail
Have your child stuff an old sock with cloth or paper scraps. While he's doing that, cut a wide oval out of cardboard. Fold the cardboard oval in half and help your child glue it to the instep of the sock. Next, decide what kind of dinosaur your child wishes to make. Then cut those dinosaur's features out of felt. For example, you might cut out small triangles to make the plates on a Stegosaurus back or big white teeth for a T-Rex. You could do lots of different things with this project -- let your child's imagination guide you!
