Activity Detail
Draw a large tree with the branches that represent your family. Let your children go through your pictures and pick out a picture for each family member on the tree. Hang the tree in your dining room so that you can talk about all of the people you love on Thanksgiving.

A great idea for helping kids understand the meaning of Thanksgiving, and be able to talk about things (people) they are thankful for.

You could make this a centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table by finding a sturdy tree branch and "planting" it in Plaster of Paris. You can then hang pictures of your relatives by punching a hole in the top and stringing yarn through the loop.
