Paper Bag Monsters!

Brown paper grocery bag, construction paper, scissors, markers, stapler

Activity Detail

Begin with a plain brown grocery bag. Open up the bag as if you were going to place groceries in it. Close the bag at the top and fold the top down a couple of times. Then staple the top together. This will be the monster torso. Get colorful construction paper & cut out head, arms & feet shapes. Your child can then color them. Once fully decorated, staple the head to the top of the bag and the arms and legs in appropriate "monster" places. You now have a scary -- or silly -- monster to help decorate your house.
