Fingerprint Spiders

ages 2-6

Supplies

Butcher paper or large white construction paper, black markers, ink pad (black or multicolor)

Activity Detail

With a black marker or Sharpie, draw a giant spider web on a piece of butcher paper. Put little fingers, one at a time, on ink pads (black or multicolor) and place fingers on spiderweb. You or your wee one can draw a silky thread to each spider, add eight legs, eyes and mouth for some happy, silly spiders. You can also try this with orange ink and make your own pumpkin patch!

The large, decorated paper could be used as a table covering for a party or Halloween day meal.

This would be an awesome bulliten board for a preschool class. I would write each students name under their finger print for a large spider web display,. You could also copy a spider web pattern onto copy paper and have each child do several of their own finger prints and create a spider picture to take home to their parents.
