Fishing for Pumpkins
ages 1-6
Supplies
Plastic golf balls, orange spray paint, permanent marker
Activity Detail
This idea takes a little work, but once you have done it you can use it year after year. Purchase plastic golf balls and spray paint them orange. Next, using permanent marker, draw different silly and spooky faces on them. Let dry. Place these balls in a sink or kiddie pool, and give your children strainer nets or fish nets to catch them. Each child can put his or her pumpkin catches in a large plastic jack-o-lantern and count up the pumpkins at the end. My kids love this activity and I look forward to bringing it out year after year. Have fun !!

To speed up the prep time, go to a golfing warehouse on online store to buy orange golf balls.

This is really cute! Of course, it is going to take a little proper prior planning...but I think it will be worth it. For a fun variation....paint the golf balls black and make them into spiders or bats by gluing pipe cleaners onto them!

What a fun idea! You could even put numbers on the opposite side of the ball to redeem a certain number of tickets for a prize if you used this at a Halloween party or preschool celebration.
