Water Bottle Fun
ages 1-6
Supplies
Clean and empty plastic water bottle, water, bubble solution, and food coloring.
Activity Detail
Have your child help you mix together bubble solution, water, and food coloring in an empty plastic water bottle. Your child can then shake it up or squeeze it to see lots of colorful, bubbly fun. This activity is a great way to teach about colors. But you can also use it to teach critical thinking: What will happen if we add more bubbles? What will happen if we just shake it a little?
Comments
Will have to try it with the kids.

I would never have thought of this activity as a way to introduce children to colors, and yet it is so simple and straightforward! What a great idea!

i have never heard of adding bubbles to the bottles. we have always made two water bottles with coloring... tipping one upisde down and watch it flow in a twister like way down to the empty bottle below. tape the tops together with duck tape your choice of coloring and shake 'em.. we did it in girl scouts.. it was really fun.
