Making a Placemat

ages 2-6

Supplies

Amusement park maps, contact paper, scissors

Activity Detail

Instead of throwing away the attraction maps that you receive from an amusement park, keep them and make placemats from them. Let your child pick out which part to use, cut the map to size, and cover the map with clear contact paper. Easy and cheap placemats for the kids!

I think this activity is probably best suited for older children...at least 5 years old. It certainly is a creative way to reminisce about some of the fun things you did during your vacation, and really versatile too. You could also use this activity to help build interest in an upcoming trip....you can plan all the places you want to see!
