Sugar cookie dough (your favorite recipe), Jolly Ranchers, parchment paper, large and small heart-shaped cookie cutters, cookie sticks

Prepare for baking by lining your cookie sheets with parchment paper and pre-heating the oven according to your recipe. Next, roll out the cookie dough on a floured surface, and cut large heart-shaped cookies using your cookie cutter. Once all your dough has been cut into big hearts, cut out the center of each heart cookie with a smaller size heart cookie cutter. Now that your cookies are prepped, you're ready to begin turning them into lollipops. Begin by putting a lollipop stick in the bottom of the hearts. Lay the hearts with the sticks carefully on the cookie sheet, and place 1-2 Jolly Ranchers in the center of each one. Bake until the candies are melted and the cookies are golden. If necessary, stretch the melted candies into the corners of the opening using a toothpick. Cool completely before peeling away the parchment paper. These make great party favors and teacher gifts.
